ESP light coming on?

The ESP/ATC light comes on with a single peep noise, very intermittantly. When I restart the engine, it is ok, sometimes after a few miles it comes on again, sometimes not. Any pointers? cheers, & thanks again.

I think you'll need to get some fault codes...to pin point the fault.
The last two 607's with abs/esp faults i had turned out to be a faulty angle sensor which is in under the airbag of the steering wheel...
but if your fault is coming and going maybe its a faulty wheel sensor...

you need to replace the sensor which is based on each front wheel.. fault codes indicate which one it is.. but its advisable to replace both of them.. they are cheap..

I has just bought a 607 that has done 85000miles 3.0l with 17inch wheels and so many gismos i dotn know them all yet . Went into your forum with my initial problems and thanks to scots and bettty have been able to fix the anti polution problem and do a reboot andfind the pollen filter . Feel much better as like to fix things myself and there are very few 607 and no one knows anything about them here althought they are all the 3.0litre . Have now join your forum and my next job is left hand window regulators . The car was well maintianed by peugeot agent until last owner who did nothing in a year .
Sometimes i get a ticking in the top part of the engine when warm . Changed oil and filter immediately when got car and will change again after 1500 miles as it had not had an oil change for 14 months and 8000miles
