Default Engine problems in hot weather

I live in a hot country and drive a 607 3.0 petrol.
When the temperature exceeds about 30c I experience problems with the engine misfiring once the car reaches normal operating temperature. On a bad day the engine will cut out completely. This problem is not new and the car has been to two Peugeot agents in the last year. In both cases they replaced all six coils at considerable expense. A few months later the problem comes back, as it has done now.
I cannot believe all the coils should need replacing every six months and, if they do, something must be causing them to fail.
Can anybody help me as this car is driving me crazy.

They're a poor design, and that's why they fail. Its a common enough issue to be noteworthy.

There is an alternative type but I'm not sure that they're a straight swap.

I doubt very much that all 6 are failing. It's probably only 1, maybe 2, but without Planet its difficult to establish which is the faulty one.

The possibilities are:

the two resistors coils at the front, (you need to remove the bumper to access it, there is not other way) to check these.... press the relays manually (take the cover off).. both blue and green ones.. if the fan comes on high speed then the resistors coils are fine..

if not, then the ground from the ECU is broken somewhere.. most definately to the fan connector which sits just under the battery (you need to take the air filter off, the battery and its tray off to access it, there is no other way)

Dont look at anything else, you would be wasting your time..

good luck, let me know if you need any diagrams give us a shout..
