Default Auto-dimming mirror wiring?

Would anyone happen to have the wiring diagram for the auto-dim mirror? Got one, to replace a dodgy one in a 307 ( modified to go onto the basic windscreen mount, not a rainsensor one, don't ask...). While I've got supply and ground OK, I just wondered what the other three wires were for? One's no doub from the reversing light but...

There you go. Im planing to do same thing on my 407. Take pics and document what you do. The one here does show only 3 wires, but then again, you didnt specify what rpo your car is or anything else so i just found the default-est one there is

yes, the first one I had was three wire, came off a 406 IIRC. Black 0v white supply, grey to reverse circuit..
607 one has black 0v, then either white or yellow seems to power it, and two unknown browns.

Uhh, sorry i seem to have for some reason dug up the 307 diagram, but you need 607. Here is the correct one. Additional wires you are looking at are for side mirrors. Good luck! Disregard the previous diagrams

Whats the importance of the reverse light with the mirror?
Mine auto-dims, but seems to work only when you have headlights right up behind you.

Who knows, maybe its to "undim" the rear view mirror when you try to reverse to park, etc. So that you could still see well even though there might be some bright light behind you.

Ahhh of course!

I added an autodimmer to my 307, wired into the interior light cluster

I knew that when power was applied to the 3rd wire it would instantly undim but i could never work out why, and i think you are right with the reversing function!!

I'm not going to add this is as its too much effort, but i did always wonder why it did that!!

pcb inside the mirror is marked REV for the third wire.

Stubbo, did you change the windscreen mount, or did yours have the rain sensor already?

I didnt look that closely at the pcb if im honest, guess all the clues were there though!!

I didnt change the mount, and i dont have rain sensor either

I just popped the old mirror off its arm and mounted it to that!
