Default Alarm on the 607

Is it possible to test the alarm is functional on a 607?

I was listening to a neighbors car alarm blaring away yesterday and it occured to me that I'd had this motor two years and never even heard it's alarm. Is there any way to try it (without bashing in a laminated side window )

Cheers

jim

There are several ways to check if it triggers.. have you tried deadlocking?, leave the window open and lock the car, and then waive infront of the sensors? sit in the car and lock the car? any movement will trigger the alarm.

also note the red light on the middle console.. does it flash with a pause, is it on constantly or its constantly flashing..

Alarm problems are directly related to BSI faults, have you scanned any faults on BSI?

Thanks for the tips
Not done any scanning because It may be working fine.
Not even sure if it's set to wind up the window on deadlock (There's more bells n whistles on this thing than a bells & whistles thingie).
But I can try sitting in it

Whats the significance of the three different flashing situations on the little lock button?

cheers
jim.
