how long does it take to go from perfect to nearly unreadable? if its within seconds, sounds like its dying but if it take a few minutes sounds like bulbs or loose connection working its way out when it gets warm and vibrations etc.

just a guess, thinking of the 307 MFD, if they are at all similar,

hope this helps

if lines are dropping off, and the connections are fine, the screens on its last legs.

Just to help out here, what cck2k9 means that the display is about to die/fail/break. It could well have to be replaced.
Good luck with it

I cant imagine how much a new screen would cost! I have the 7 inch screen on mine, so fingers crossed this wont fade too!

Cheers Nigel in Accrington

Mine is only 4.5 inches wide as we dont have the sat nav phone part here as you dont need it in Adelaide . In oz they will cost 3 times what they would in uk as there are so few of these cars although parts for local cars are fairly good
Cheers Nigel

ok, try this, apparently the radio connected to the display (if stock) can send currupted lines to it, so try disconnecting the radio and see if it displays fine. if it does its a new radio if not well its back to what was being said. not sure if this is the same fault as being discussed here:
