hi i recently bought a 607 2.2 HDI X Reg with 145,000 miles and full service history from peugeot from an auction for 1100 pounds and now i know why i think ,
1 . i took it for an MOT a couple of days after i got it and it failed because the rear N/S sub frame was bent so got that sorted £200. 2. there is a Airbag Warning light on not sure why . 3. the Anti pollution light is on read loads on this but been told that it is usually the additive or something that needs refilling. 4. Sat nav Cd is missing probably sat nav system isnt working at all to be honest hence why the cd is missing. 5. I personally think for a 2.2 HDI Turbo engine it seems to be quite slow maybe thats just me though . Any help with any of this would be great as i really like the car and i am a mechanic just usually work on tanks not a great deal of electrics or anti pollution systems on those things lol .

hi paul,
welcome to the forum and your new motor.. its seems strange for the sub frame to be bent, was it involved in an accident ?? airbag warning light tells me it was involved in an accident, I may be wrong as sometimes, if its not serviced it gives the warning and needs to be reset. anti pollution light could be number of things, you need to read threads on this forum as it is discussed number of times There is nothing that could be wrong with Satnav, probably the previous seller thought of selling it on ebay. I must say that the engine is not that fast, but once its coasting it goes well.. if its sluggish then it may be because its in limp mode (Anti Pollution warning) for most of the things you need PSA diag2000 or other OBDII system to read the codes, If you can give me the codes, I can help whats it for? the OBD connecter is under the armrest centre console.

you need to get the additive from Peugeot its £17 a litre. The additive resovior is under the rear passenger seat.. You can only access it from a ramp. Its under a sheild, slightly bigger than the size of a VHS tape. You can buy SATNAV discs from ebay but if you buy it directly from Navteq its around £75 for the uptodate version. with regards to your header tank, that explains and points on one of the cause on anti pollution warning and sluggish drive. I think you car is in limp mode as it is very difficult to explain without seeing it. you need to check if any of the hoses are leaking.. if this is the case you need to replace it to avoid the water from leaking, if its not the hoses then the radiator might me leaking and needing replace. again the radioters can be picked up from ebay aswell.. have you checked the radioter fans, there are two fans situated and work through a resistor which also breaks after getting cruded. let us know if you need any help..

hi thanks veryuch for your reply i will look at the coolant thing tomorrow i am an ameture mechanic myself so will have a look , just found yet another thing wrong with the car , i am thinking the reason this car was sold via an auction was because it needs a lot of love and money . there is a clip next to the cover that is ontop of the engine think it may have something to do with the cold start device maybe but it is connected to a rod then onto a thing on the engine the rod moves back and forward seemingly on a spring but the end of the rod (the connector to the thing on the engine) is broken any ideas what this is and if its anything i should be concerned about ?? thanks again for all your assistance and this is definately the best peugeot site ever.
