wonder if anyone with a bit of knowledge can share their thoughts on this?
new MOT regs are stating that TPM warnings will fail; but if they are disabled do you still get the error warning when you start up? basically need to get the car sorted before new MOT laws come into play...currently have one non TPM wheel from what i can make out..was going to just swap them all out and disable the warnings... a couple of people ive read on the 'net are stating that even though they have disabled TPM they still get the warning on startup? |

When disabled properly you won't get any warnings plus tpms in mot is for new cars only.

yeah once disabled via planet, it informs the ECU not to look for them or check them so no warnings etc.

They need to be disabled in at least 2 ECUs, possibly 3 depending on your car
![]() Can confirm no warnings/display or anything.... previous owner had them turned off on mine, and I never knew they were .... got them back on now and working just as they were designed to.... they're not all bad

It was the same on mine after I disabled it. You can press the little TEST button on the dash and it shows the tyre and says PRESSION OK.
