Just had mine replaced too at a cost of £700. My DMF was on the way out for 20K miles with a judder when starting off in 1st that gradually got worse till it went bang. Then the clutch pedal dropped, there was a burning smell and a loud squeaking noise like a losse fan belt when the clutch was depressed.

sabasteeno, that was the exact same symptoms i had when my release bearing went on my 307...lucky it was a petrol and was a solid flywheel...been told that if it was DMF the power of the bearing going and the clutch smashing into the flywheel would of done the DMF in.
