I bought a 407 2.0litre HDI SE 2006 on Monday from Marshalls Peugeot. They gave me 12 months MOT on it and when i checked it had an advisory which reads 'Nearside front suspension arm has slight play in ball joint'. When i asked the sales manager about this he said it was nothing to worry about and they didnt need to do any repair on it as it was only slight play.
I am a bit worried due to reading alot about the ball joints on these forums and wondered if anyone could help or give me some advise. many thanks Shaun |

Generally slight play as an advisory will mean that it will probably have enough play in it next mot for it to fail.
I wouldn't be overly concerned, but maybe have it checked again in 6 months. It's not an expensive job to change them if you really are worried. |

If you just bought it from Peugeot, I'd be expecting them to replace it on the warranty
