Suspension arm has slight play

I bought a 407 2.0litre HDI SE 2006 on Monday from Marshalls Peugeot. They gave me 12 months MOT on it and when i checked it had an advisory which reads 'Nearside front suspension arm has slight play in ball joint'. When i asked the sales manager about this he said it was nothing to worry about and they didnt need to do any repair on it as it was only slight play.
I am a bit worried due to reading alot about the ball joints on these forums and wondered if anyone could help or give me some advise.

Generally slight play as an advisory will mean that it will probably have enough play in it next mot for it to fail.
I wouldn't be overly concerned, but maybe have it checked again in 6 months.
It's not an expensive job to change them if you really are worried.

If you just bought it from Peugeot, I'd be expecting them to replace it on the warranty
