I know there is a key fob thread here but could anyone tell me how do you change the battery in the fob?
Mine is ok but I don't know how old it is so I might change the battery just to be sure. Can you just whip out the battery and replace it or is there a procedure for doing it? Knowing my car as I do I'll probably have yo bring it to a dealer to do it

I thought you got an error on the dash when the battery was getting low.... stand to be corrected, but thought I'd read it somewhere

That would imply that the sensor in the fob or the light on the dash would actually be functional at the actual time that they were meant to impart a bit of useful information.
In my car, these are two things that have yet to happen. ![]() Can you change the battery out easily?
