How do you connect an mp3 player or mobile phone into the standard 407 stereo again as its costing me a fortune in cd-r's and want a better way of doing it?

I've got a similar cheap option too.... although, its not a brilliant quality audio though

Depending on the head unit Peugeot sell an official aux input wire for the 407. My local dealer says its about a £50 job to fit and set the aux ports on the head unit. That's inc the part as well! about 40 mins work.
Not had it done yet but it first on the.ist when my car is finally running as it should.

I sorted this about a month ago on the RD4 headunit.

MP3 iPod AUX IN ADAPTOR PEUGEOT 407 05 on CTVPGX011 | eBay

Works a treat with my ipod and will work with any device that you plug a headphones into.

That looks like this which will fit the 407. Might have to give it a go. Do you have to switch the aux on somehow or as soon as you plug this in does it become 'active' does anyone know?

Knowing how the rest of the systems on the 407 work, I would expect you to have to enable it with PP

cheapest option is cut cable from some headphones with jack plug and connect this to aux pin behind stereo unit enable i pp aux2 and after in source buton is your music from mp3 or phone enjoy
