Default Mot & hid conversion kit

Hey there guys!
Just letting people know that i have installed a HID kit off ebay & have had it in for the past 10months with no problems, the car sailed through the mot fine just an advisory on my balljoints
They did test the lights and said there was nothing wrong with the beam, so anybody out there wanting to convert id recommend it! Brightness is way better than normal halogens

Guy i asked at weekend just said new rules are springtime, no idea on a definate date!

What i've gathered is... engine lights are a pass, anything else like abs etc etc isnt

They are giving advisories at the moment until new rules come in

I think aftermarket hid will only fail if the adjusters dont work, if they work you are golden!

edit: actually now i've said that...

Peugeot 407 SW 04- ULTRA HID CONVERSION KIT H1 35w | eBay

Thats the exact kit i used. Dosent throw up any faults on the MFD unless the dipped beams are turned off. Then the "Dipped beam bulb faulty" comes up for 2 seconds then clears.

Th,anks for info but as prev mentioned the new rules come in to effect later in year. Be interested to read then

I'd quite fancy a set for mine. As the 407's are projectors must give pretty good beam pattern?

How much are they and easy to fit?

Cheers stubbo, wondered why it wasn't posting.

The projectors work well, not had anybody flash me and the leveling system tolerates them fine
