Got a 1.6hdi with 133k on the clock, i seem to be averaging only 39mpg
Shouldnt it be more? All i do it town driving & the odd 10 mile blast up the motorway once a week. Its had the dpf, clutch, egr replaced within the year. Any ideas why its low? Or is it normal? D

If its only around town, I wouldn't think that was too bad

My petrol averages 37 on a good trip and about 34 on my usual 5 mile spin too and from work. So I'd say your not far off normal.

Last check this week showed 42.7 mpg for a 1.6 hdi. Ran from Boston Lincs to Atherton Lancs encountering hold-ups on M62. Some town work then return to Boston after more delays on M62, then some more town work. Was hoping for lower consumption but for the delays. That was a test tankful using shell v-power
