Can't find anything on Servicebox.
Think there is something built-in to the steering column by the ignition though to pick up the chip in the key?

This is the antennae around the ignition which communicates with immobiliser chip in your key. Im not sure if that is whats at fault.

i dont think itis the one around the ignition barrel as if that was faulty then the car wouldnt start.
i am led to believe thare is a receiver just for the central locking and alarm |

just checked the sedre, and looks like the hf reciever is located within the com 2000/2003 switching unit in your steering wheel.
what error code do you get? |
