Default Exhaust gases in engine bay

Afternoon

My first post so hopefully you guys can help
I have a 407 SW 2.0 hdi 2006, when you blip the throttle to around 2000rpm you can see what appears to be exhaust gases coming from the back of the engine compartment.
Exact location is not known, but if you follow the air intake pipes to the back of the engine thats were it appears. Car is still in warranty, and has been back, the garage can't find were its coming from.

Anyone able to help diagnose the problem/or point me in the right direction.

The turbo is back there on these engines - nightmare to get to.
Check the clamps around all hoses on the turbo

Not 100% where it is - I've tried looking on mine before, but can't see a thing back there.
The gases could be coming from any number of hose clamps, exhaust clamps, diff pressure sensor pipes..... only real solution is to inspect all of them.

Just how much gas is actually coming up?

Hard to tell, but you can see it. only happens when revving. and goes away on tick over. I have been under the car with a lamp and can see what appears to be soot marks on the exhaust tunnel/bulkhead.

The car drives like a train, no lack of power, but when in slow moving traffic you can smell the fumes in the cabin.

So if it was a 1.6, what is the cause on them ? or are they totally different ?

As said above, car has been back to garage and they are unable to see/find the cause.
They have suggested that I drive the car and see if it gets worse then they maybe able to see where/what is going on.

Only had the car two weeks, been great until this.

Trem1 big help, just read both links and they sound right. Will pass this info onto the garage and see what they say.

Can't believe that the joints are so easy to damage. If its leaking top or bottom hope the garage sort it properly.

Will update if I get a solution.

Thanks again.
