Default Engine cooling fan stays on after engine turned off

Hi,

Had my 2005 407sw for about 3 months now and noticed that the engine cooling fan is prone to staying on (sometimes for up to 20 mins) after I have stopped the can and tirned off the engine. It doesnt happen all the time, and the engine isn't overheating (according to the temp. indicator on the dash).

Any clues?

Also the cruise control is a bit hit or miss sometimes. Get a beep, a warning light on the dash and a message on the MFD saying that it has malfunctioned. Thats when i can read it as the screen goes a bit wonky after about 30-40 mins and it can hardly be read. It's also turned itself off once or twice while i've been driving. Thats the cruise control btw, not the MFD. :-\

Don'tcha just love gizmos...?? :-\

Its fine. It means the car hasnt finished a regeneration. Take it out for a blast and it wont do it again for a week

1. Heater plugs failed.
2. Software update needed.
Get a diag check to be sure!

Cheers for your replies chaps. Gave it a "blast" along the motorway at the weekend and all was good. Fan has only came on once since.

Time to start taking the motorbike to work me thinks
