Default Dealer knowledge base.

Following a discussion with a local mechanic I thought I would ring up our local dealers and see how much they would charge to enable the Aux channels on my radio. (Already did it myself, took longer to plug laptop in than to enable the channel)

After a telephone call lasting 15 minutes, and speaking to three different people in the parts/servicing departments they could not tell me if it was possible.
I was advised to ring back on Monday and speak to the Master Technician.

Malcolm.

I would find another dealer rather than ring back after that turn of events... should have been an easy one to answer, unless it was only pen pushers that you managed to speak to

It's surprising how little dealers know at times

My local one is dreadful they don't even answer the phone and when they do you get put through to parts dept who never pick up. So now I take a 15 mile trip to one who's helpful.

I looked into that for an mp3 connection. Local dealer said £50 to fit adapter and set it all up inc turning in aux ports if required.
