My question is - does anyone have any bolts longer than these on their 406 (non corail) alloys?
I've been unable to find any on general sale that are longer - I thought I had but when they turned up they were identical! Hence, if anyone wants a set of 16 new wheel bolts as pictured (except they've got chromed heads) then £30 quid says they're yours.
I'm curious as to what the difference between the bolts are as with my Corail's the bolts spin a few times before tightening up but when I fit the opals I've barely done more than a turn and a half before it's nipped up and it starts tightening. I guess this is mainly due to the bolt seats in the corails being lower but I'm just a bit nervous that there might not be enough threads holding the wheels on.
I have Corail alloys (1) fixed with bolts pictured, according to service box these "Monting [sic] Screw"s are part number 5405 65 (12x125)
I've now bought a set of second hand Opale (3) alloys for some winter tyres not sure if they're opale pre RPO 8576 or opal 2 don't know how to tell.
Service box says that the screws for the opales are part 5405 51 (12x125) although for opal 2 it's giving the same part number as the bolts I already have.
