Default silly Fuel Question

I know I shouldn't really pose this question...But, How much fuel do I need in the tank when the battery has been off and work has been done on the car? That is for the ecu to be happy that all the readings are O.K.. I ask this as one of the softwares for the elm 327 I got some readings on, told me I had a large fuel leak... which I didn't... but was very low on fuel and have stuck two gallons in to try and keep it happy, also released pressure on common fuel rail for safety.
Yes, I am on my way to get a third and am thinking was this how I got it sorted the last time because my brain was so fried looking up every possible solution and trying it and forgetting which I had tried and which I hadn't.

P.S. I have bitten the bullet and ordered the lexia 3 kit. Now have the dilemna that if fuel was problem then I didn't need to order Lexia.

Default

Large fuel leak code usually means a leaking injector , not actually a fuel leak like a hole in your tank.

Default Yup!

I tended to think this was due to the pressure on the common rail being released, which I did using the release valve in the middle of the rail. Ignition wasn't on at the time I did it but battery was still connected
