Heloo again
Managed to get my hands on the wonder king of puggs diagnostics, eventually. I have two recurring codes popping up on my x reg 406 1.8 fault 1: intermittent fault remote control learning not carried out fault 2: no permanent positive on display. and I can't get it to start still, Can one of you fine fellows point me in the "right" direction as to the ritual of clearing the fault codes, what is the correct sequence for clearing and unplugging the dongle and re-learning the key remote. The previous owner told me the key had been disabled so he wouldn't have any problems. It is a two button key with a large open button and a small unlock on the end of the key, there is also an ordinary key. The ECU is a sagem unit sl 96 I think was the choice on the menu, on the planet menu that is, I'm hoping for fish and chips tonite myself. Mike |

with reference to the first and main fault, I later found further in * key+immobiliser state* ...communication with the analogue module..not in progress. does this mean the little unit that looks like a switch next to the diagnostic socket on the right of the dashboard.. the infra red transmittery thing. I just took it off it has connections like the lead with the crocodile clips, is this used to recode the transponder to the number on the keys unfortunately I dont have the key code number the previous owner didn't supply it as it says they should in the book, or can I read it off the ecu . Are there any guides to this without having to join some 'scorcerers guild' by accruing unlimited health after completing several levels of competence (you know, like school)
