Immobilisor fault

Hi all. got a problem with my 406 estate 2.0 hdi 2001 plate..
I bought the car last week..Everything working fine except the 2 button central locking key didnt work..So, i have been trying all the different ways to try and get it to work..However, i disconnected the battery,left it for 2 minutes,then reconnected..now when i turn on the ignition i get a beep,and a key sign on dash, and immobilisor fault on the screen above the climate control unit..and it wont start..can anyone tell me what i need to do or who i need to call out to sort this problem..many thanks in advance.

thanks for the speedy response..there are 2 who are close to me in leicester.. however i have'nt got the 4 digit security code..How do i get hold of it???

All sorted. it was the key that immobilised the car.
reprogrammed with transponder code and now have a running car with remote central locking :)
