hi , new member.
been out to knowsley safari park today, car is a 1997 406dt 2.1 . the problem is that without any accelerator the car would drive along at 4/5mph, temparature was showing 90 which i thought was high(15mph speed limit btw) dip the clutch and everything was ok. second question for you , i have new handbrake cables and new handbrake shoes fitted yet the car barely holds a small slope, recently passed the mot ,i asked the tester about the handbrake which he said was fine? any help appreciated btw i`m not a mechanic

the car idles at 800.
the handbrake does engage but even pulling on as far as possible it will still roll. |
