Question Heater mixer control

Hi chaps,

my 406 heater doesnt completely go to its cold setting, it still seems to mix hot air in, even though the knob is fully anti clockwise. where is the flap that this control operates? is there an exploded diagram about anywhere that shows the flow through the 406's heater system?

cheers all

steve

Thanks for that, but have now fixed the problem. It turned out to be that the cable that goes from the hot/cold knob on the control assembley, to the flap in the rhs footwell, had far too much play in it. So after some disasembly of the control unit i found the cause to be the cable's sheath clamp at the control assembley end had broken free. After drilling a 3mm hole and screwing it back into place with a nice blob of araldite rapide it is now solid. Another fix!

Cheers

Steve

Note, the first pic shows how it should look if not broken!
