Get a diagnostic check done. Post faults up if any.

Some faults generate an eml others will not but maybe stored. find someone on planet map and have a diagnostic done.

Where are you getting your fuel? is it good?
A high pressure fuel pump fuel pressure regulator will cause hunting sometimes.
If i was you go to a good Peugeot Specialist.

Taken the car to a peugeot specialist and sods law its been fine, but when i got home it started again .just cant work out what it is even when i explained to them they did not know .im thinking could it be a injector getting blocked and just dripping diesel on to the piston rather then spraying to cause it to run lumpy

I've just remembered that I had a Citroen Xantia with the same problem, it turned out to be the fuel pressure regulator.
Have you got access to a secondhand maybe to try it.
