On the injector pump on the right hand side is a small rubber/pipe which goes to the injector and then loops to each injector , this pipe has come off twice in two weeks , is this just because the pipe is old and needs replacing or is there a pressure build up due to a blockage forcing the pipe off , the pipe is just pushed on with no clip on it . ????? This is loosing me fuel that I cant afford to waste .

I had this, its the fuel return pipe your looking at. Fuel forced at pressure into injector, injector squirts fuel, any fuel not used is circulated back into the fuel tank.
There is a plastic nozzle and a metal circlip that holds the nozzle in place. Sounds like you've lost the clip. Nothing wrong pressure wise. Took the garage 3 mins to replace both nozzle and clip when they did it. Cheap parts and fix. |

is there a pic of this pipe/area your on about. I have a very small diesel leak on my 406 and I am wondering if this could be the cause... The car is running ok and no noticeable drop in mpg
