central locking

after fixing the brake light issue (swich was all the way in so not making contact :P ) ive moved onto the central locking issue
now after taking the door panel off i found that the wiring to the door wasnt even plugged in (previous owner had door fitted after a bump and was told it needed to be on dealer diagnostic for it to work again wtf :shock: ) anyway ive pluged it in and tried to lock the doors but it just locks then opens so probly why it was unpluged any ideas why this would do this ?
