406 Electric Window stuck open

Help!
My driver side window is stuck down and i cant move it.

It has been a little problematic for a while working fine everytime i wind it down, sometimes when i went to wind it up it would go down and sometimes stick open but usually, with a few clicks of the button it would come up again.

Now it's stuck down permantly! I can here the motor quietly click twice (on and off i guess) but nothing else happens!

Can anybody please suggest anything?

I'd say the regulator has gone. If you whip off the door card, you'll probably find bits of broken plastic and steel wire in a mess in there.

Only real fix is a new regulator.

Can prop it up with a bit of broom handle until you get it fixed as a very temporary measure.

When you say regulator, do you mean the motor or is it in the switch?
How do i release the glass to move it, its stuck down?

the regulator is basically the 'mechanism'.
