406 2.0 Hdi Brake Switch

All my brake lights have failed!! Having seeked advice from a friend I need to check out the brake switch. HELP! How does this come out, I made an attempt last night and found myself in the most perculiar position and engaging the clutch with my forehead.

Most Peugeot brake light switchs you turn them 90 degrees and pull it out.

they just pull out had this prob on my 406 was the switch too far in on its mount just needed to pull it out a little
