Default 405 Trailing Arm Bearings Photos

All,

In 2005 I ended up with complete failure of the trailing arm bearings on my 405. To say the handling was interesting was an understatement. I figured that all the contact parts were going to be pretty badly damaged. As the photos show - I was right. These were taken a day or so after I got the rear subframe off the car. Note the rust where there should be bearings.

I ended up replacing the frame and trailing arms as a unit I got from a local wreckers. A couple of months later I replaced the trailing arm bearings on that sub frame as well as well as tapping the trailing arms to add a grease nipple.

Enjoy.

Simon.
