Default Tyre wear

The wife bought a 308 in March this year, the car was 10 months old when purchased. Last Saturday she announced that there was a grinding sound coming from the offside front wheel under braking although this did not happen all the time.
I took the wheel off to inspect the pads & discs which are worn & will need replacement. Hoever, i noticed that the inside edge of the tyre is worn down to such an extent that you can see the metal braiding in the tyre. The nearside tyre is also worn down the same.
The car has only done 8,000 miles since my wife bought it so we took it back to the Peugeot dealer who said there is nothing wrong with the tracking (they did not spot the wear on the inside tyre either).

Is this normal for a 308? or is there an underlying problem.
Any advice gratefully appreciated.

Tyre wear is normal on all cars. How fast they wear, assuming the car isn't broken, is entirely dependent on how well they're inflated, and how the car is driven. That's all there is.

The fact they been allowed to wear to the carcass before anyones noticed reinforces this.
