I have a 2008 308 1,6 HDI 109 EGC and I'm thinking of having it remapped. My Q is this: Is the tranny strong enough for tuning? Any cons? Most sites I've checked claim 130hp+/300NM+ after remapping. Words about this? Tnx in advance.

You`re looking at a gain of up to 30bhp , the lower gear extra torque is great , but if you trash it then you`ll ruin bits like the clutch , but if your sensible then go for it

I'm not into redlight racing. Just improve low end power and reduced gearshifts to improve mpg. And redusing overtaking time. Especially at higher speeds.

You can be sitting in fifth and you`ll have no need to go down to fourth to overtake , the power in fifth for overtaking is great,
my 407 1.6hdi 110bhp is now 146.2bhp and 280lb ft of torque
