Hi, recently aquired a 308sw 1.6 auto sport model with a petrol engine , 1 year old with 12k on the clock which I am very pleased with as it is a very comfortable and well built car. However one thing that spoils my enjoyment is that the car fels very sluggish from standstill and I have to keep it in sport mode all the time to make any real progress. Once on motorway at speeds over 60 acceleration seems good and no problem keeping up with other traffic. Is this just a trait of the 1.6 petrol engine or is there something amiss!

The 1.6 non tubby takes some spinning to get it moving.
Did you not have a thorough test drive before buying it, and ask this question the the seller?
