Please help with a problem with my peugeot 308

Hi,

I bought peugeot 308 sport, 2008 model, 7 months ago from a peugeot dealer. A few eeks ago it started losing power and took it back to the dealer for a diagnosis. they diagnosed an engine flush which surprised me as car is petrol and only has 20k miles on the clock. Had the flush doen but now an error message has come on the display ' depollution system failure'.

can anyone help? has anyone heard of this problem before?

What fault codes present?
Depollution sysytem faulty is generic for any problem.

Hi, it doesn't state a fault code on the display. my main worry is why does the car need an engine flush so early on in it's life.

I reckon that was a waste of time. Get someone to read the fault codes off it and post them up here.

How can I get the fault codes? Do you think Peugeot have any liability as only bought 7 months ago?

Go to another dealer, get a second opinion.
Or go to a good specialist.

Is an Independent vehicle inspection a good idea?

No. Go to a main dealer or a good Peugeot Specialist who knows what they're at and knows the problems with these cars.

Yeah, go to a good Peugeot specialist and get it looked at. So many things it could be it's not even worth trying to guess.
