Peugeot 308 HDI EGC

Hello Good People
This is my first post so please be forgiving if I ask questions that have been previously posted

I have searched for the answer to my following question but cannot find anything satisfactory

After being an ardent supporter of Honda I am now seriously looking at purchasing my first Peugeot

I have my eyes on the above subject 308 HDI EGC model (2010 year) but one thing that is of paramount importance to me is:

Can I use 100% biodiesel ???

Has anyone on the forum any advice before I go and make the plunge??

Yes, don't use more than 30% Bio is the official line.

Hope you don't mind me coming back to you

Further my earlier question - looks like I will be using B30 (still hankering for the 308 HDI EGC)

I presently drive approximately 10K miles on an anual basis - not particularly long journeys - pretty rural area I live in

Having researched the dreaded subject of DPF (this filter being new to me as I have always had petrol cars) - I am a liitle worried about the repeated problems that such a large number of guys have had (and are having)

I have again tried a search on the forum but not really come up with any direct guidance on the subject

Question is:
Considering my mileage and type of running around i do - do you know of any inherent or repeated problems with the DPF on the subject 308?

Can you direct me to any specific link that may help me?

Dont matter what car you buy with a DPF your looking at trouble at some point unless you buy a new car every 2 years and then there is no guarantee .

I have a 407 had dpf problem opted to have it removed but still having major problems with the garage that did the job considering court action now as most will say garages are alright till they have your ready`s then its damn hard to rectify anything .

Problem seems Nige - are there any recent diesels out there that do NOT have a DPF?

There are some that dont have it best to ask dealer before purchase .

the 407 the x-line and zenith dont have it some lancers dont have it .

Well at least I am glad that I have come to realise the problems before I went out and took the plunge

Really a pity as I really fancied the little 308
