Default Comms unit

I have refitted my comms unit today after a tricky repair, while the comms unit was off the car I moved the car to another part of the drive for shelter. I now have an ESP/ASR fault, what do I need to do to reset this? is there a calibration procedure or is it a visit to the dealers?
Any help much appreciated.

This could be linked to a) faulty abs sensor, or b) faulty brake light switch, or c) something completely different

Best bet... post your location, check our the Peugeot Planet owner's map (under Maintenance) and find someone who can do a diag for you - this should tell you exactly what it is

Ok, thanks for the advice.
Anyone out there who could help with diagnostics on my 308?
There are a couple who appear to be in Manchester.
I'm located in Bolton.

Ok I spoke to a Peugeot tech guy today and he says the comms unit will have to be re-coded to the car (calibrated).
So although I don't like main dealers, I have booked in with them and at £47+Vat for diagnostic and re-coding I thought was reasonable as our local garages charge £45+Vat and don't own the Peugeot diagnostic kit.
I'll post on verdict.

Well, I got the diagnosis yesterday that the fault with the ESP;
"No communication with the steering wheel angle sensor"
So I guess I have not set up the comms properly or have disturbed something while repairing the comms.
Peugeot will not clear the fault (or cannot) and say I need a new comms at £319+vat. I have declined them to do the repair, I will strip the comms to try and find the fault.
I have also found a guy in Wigan who refurbs comms units, link below:
COMUNITS.COM :: Specialists in everything Peugeot | Com Units | ECU's | Air Bags and more...

Well, I guess I should have known, they want to replace the airbag ecu, both front pretensioners, comms unit and obviously code all this stuff, in rather than find the fault and repair; needless to say I have not authorised them to do the repairs.
Do dealers not repair any more? it appears it's just replace old for new these days!!
Any way not to be beaten, I've found a guy local who has specialist knowledge with Peugeot and he has the car now tracing the original fault with a view to repair.

Pretty much! I've spoken with them before about taking things apart to try to repair, and they said they have never done it before and didn't know. Apparently something to do with not being cost efficient for customers to spend time trying to fix to then only end up replacing, so don't bother trying to repair, just replace.

Got car back earlier today, and what a guy!!
He spent a good while working on it and the airbag ecu had a corrupted file which he wrote in and a repair due to a 'dry' joint. And the comms just needed calibrating (as I suspected) due to the repair I had done.
He had spent I would say 3 - 4 hours and there was no need for new parts.
All airbags are fine as are the pre tensioners and the comms.
I am well chuffed as you can imagine and I couldn't thank the guy enough, I asked if it was ok for me to promote him on here and he was fine with that, if anyone needs his details pm me, although he is does have a couple of websites.
