Well, a year ago they said they wouldn't do it and we'd have to make do with the (admittedly beautifully poised) 308GT. But they lied. Pug announced the 308 GTi on the 20th May, and it looks in the main to be the same as the GT, but with the addition of the 200BHP version of the petrol THP unit. Pugs best chassis, now with a stoating motor? Nice. Shame I'm too old to drive about like I got a burning turd stuck up my nethers, but it looks a laugh for those of a young disposition. It could be the bears porridge...just right.

No 308 GTi.
Indeed, no new hot hatches cos they're concentrating on the small coupe market instead. Oh, go on then, we'll do a 308 GTi after all. The 407 replacement will be the 408. Here's an artists impression. Actually, we're calling it the 508 now and here's a different concept pic. They used to be indecisive,but now they're not so sure.
