308 Battery Connections

Hi All,

Trying to figure out if the connectors in the photo, marked from 1-4 are positive connectors from the battery,

ie; if I needed to connect a cable to positive only could I use one of these, prefer number 1 as nothing is connected to it, thanks

Don't see why not. Make sure you have the correct rated fuse fitted though.

you could do. but you could also find the main feed to your fuse box...in your engine bay or glove box undo the bolt, stick a ring connector on the cable you want...put ontop the screw post and screw down...i did this to install an amp in my 307.

as david says make sure you place an inline fuse and protect it as such. like i say the fuse box is a good place for this.

Thanks Guys, should have mentioned, going to fit CHIP Express hopefully over the weekend, apparently it needs a 12v positive only connection to the Battery, so will try number 1 in the photo as the connection point and see how it goes.

Thought I’d update, installed CHIP Express and ended up using one of the front connectors,

What a difference, unbelievable, much much quicker off the mark and next to no Turbo Lag

glad to hear you got it sorted...i was looking at this for my focus...is £350 about the same as you paid? (if you dont mind me asking)

also with it being directly connected to the battery does it constantly drain or is only initiated with engine on? just a little curious.

Hi, paid £395, there is constant power to the unit as the Red LED seems to be on all the time,

But they have assured that the power consumption is so low that it doesn’t drain the battery,

Haven’t heard of any other unit draining the battery, so guess I’ll wait and see.

Keep us posted on overall performance..... interested on the mpg increase they claim.
Have you got yours set for the normal, or the max??

Will be interesting to see mileage, unit has been left on normal factory setting.
