Default Whats the deal with that battery cover?

Hello,

I changed my battery a couple of days ago and ever since have been trying to replace the battery cover.

Ive taken the air filter cover off, but still cant figure out how to put it on with the positive battery terminal inside.

Is there something Im missing?

Thanks

Hope this works, think ive spent more time uploading these pics than on the battery.

Anyway here is the puzzle...in the first pic there is a cable going to the fuse box.

in the second pic, this cable impedes the battery cover. going over the battery.

making sense?
