Been for a drive to do the xmas shopping today and upon arrival all of a sudden the car sounded as if it was running on 3 cylinders and up came the info "CATALYTIC CONVERTER FAULT" and " ANTI-POLLUTION FAULT".
I let it cool down as we were shopping and then started it up and it was fine untill we stopped 1/2 mile from home and then it happened again!!! ![]() Drove it home like it (just) and now i have left it. Any ideas chaps!! |

Need to get it plugged in really, but i would be fairly confident in an internet diagnosis by saying the coilpack is dicking about.

i'd guess at possibly the coil pack,or even the wonderful o2 sensors that are fitted to these cars.....you need it read by planet to have a proper idea, don't use supermarket fuel, its cheap and rubbish (actually its not cheap but is rubbish ),i had similar problems in the past,i now stick to branded fuel such as shell and alittle redex now and then won't hurt.

My dad plugged in his fault code reader this morning and it read:
IGNITION COIL B PRIMARY/SECONDRY CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION and RANDOM/MULTIPLE CYLINDER MISFIFE DETECTED. I take it a new coil pack and spark plugs are to ordered!!! |
