Default Peugeot 307 oil?

Hello!
Today i have changed the oil and put the 5w30 total ineo mc3 in my Peugeot 307 hdi 110 . I wanted the total ineo ecs but they didn't have it , so i put the mc3 . I looked for the specification and it says it's for the BMW and Mercedes, so is it a problem that i have put it in my Peugeot ? Should i change it and put the ineo ecs , will it make any harm?

Hi

The official spec is C2 I think you will get away with C3 perhaps someone else will weigh in

You may know already but it's better to do the oil at 6k intervals

Hope that helps

Okay, thanks, i hope it will be alright. I change the oil every 10k km anyways. Is this the recommended oil change interval because on the dashboard it displays 20k km?

Hi

Not sure if you have 1.6 or 2.0 ltr 110 bhp

The 1.6 and I think most others do 6k change to help with the ash / carbon fed into the engine from the egr valve. The longer its left the more dirt stays in the engine oil is cheap compared to parts

It's 2.0 110, so this is ok if you are talking in miles 6k (10k km).

Used to be able to get the Total INEO ECS from the local Total petrol station until it became BP. Now rely on T'internet.

Buy Engine Oil Online, Best Engine Oil, What Engine Oil To Use, UK
or (same seller)
Amazon Amazon

They sell it in the local Peugeot dealer but never asked about the price.
