If i'm getting a message saying antipollution fault (and an engine management light) when the diagnostic tool is connected to my 307 should I see a P1477 or P1447 fault code? The reason I ask is that I cant quite remember what the actual fault code was on mine when the Snap-On Solus/ETHOS tools were connected to my car. I can only that both tools said P..... Particulate filter.
After some research it seems that both codes don't seem to say anything DIRECTLY about the Particulate filter/DPF/FAP (or whatever you guys call it): Site: PEUGEOT CITROEN PSA specific DTC (fault codes) | mavericktechnology.co.uk Fault Code: - P1477 Additional fan relay circuit malfunction/EDC15C2-Coolant solenoid valve - P1447 ELC system closure valve Flow fault/EDC15C2- PEF filter pierced or differential pressure incorrect. Site: Code Descriptions - Fault Code: P1447 For EDC15C2; Check for inverted pipe configuration on differential pressure sensor or water ingress.

it's P1447 and yes it is to do with the DPF/FAP/PEF...
It's telling you that the sensor is giving dodgy readings or is knackered. Often caused by water ingress and means you need a new one. Not sure about all variants, but on my 'RHS' 307 (2002) it is located behind the battery and looks like If you've recently had work done to the car then there is a possibility that the pipes going to the sensor (from the DPF) have been switched, hence the description in your 2nd link. I happen to have a 'spare' sensor if you're interested. Also note that if your DPF is blocked then you will have more work to follow, but if that's the only code you're getting at the moment then perhaps it is just the sensor that's had it. If you are going to get at the sensor, don't forget the 3-minute rule before disconnecting the battery! |

thanks for that.
i'm just waiting for someone local to contact me who has PP2000. If I cant get anywhere with him then its off to see my brother in bradford as he know's someone with PP2000. I would take the 307 to a local specialist but the two I rang wont tell me what kit they use!

All sorted!
Turned out to be a pressure sensor. Paid £135 all in - that included the diagnostic, the pressure sensor and a new oil cap (cos mine kept falling off). A bit pricey but at least its back to full power and has a warranty on the work.
