Default oil filter location

Hi,i have a 307 2.0 136bhp 54 reg xsi help needed on where the oil filter is located i am planning on doing a full service next weekend i had a quick look but coild not see the oil filter.

i can remember my 1.6 petrol 307 oil filter was located and accessed from the top of the engine.

basically as you look in to the engine, near the front, just to the right a little is a black plastic bulb thing with a plastic bolt thing on the top moulded to it.

have you not got the most important things any car owner should have? that of course is a haynes manual

Does anyone have a diagram of where the oil drain bolt is for the above peugeot model. Also how much torque is required to put the drain bolt back on.

It will be on the bottom of the sump,maybe slightly to one side,but on the sump.

as matt says...just do the bolt as tight as it goes, dont overkill it. thats what i've done in the past and had no issues what so ever.
