Exclamation no beep on a bsi reset

hi all again !!!!!!!!!

just tried the bsi reset x2 but the car did not beep when i switched it to side lights ! ? i waited the full 3 mins etc and followed it step by step

any ideas ?? ?

spoke to you earlier today the 2004 plate 307 hdi ! white smoke when start in morning and takes a few cranks to start it !?? do you think its a crank sensor ?

Oh yes.
Any a BSI reset has nothing to do with engine management problems.
Could be a crank sensor yes.
The sensor would need to be put on an oscilliscope to diagnose it correctly, especially if it is an intermittant problem. It could be breaking down with temperature etc.

On the very top of the gearbox.
Its unlikely to be the problem.
Most likely its a fuel pressure problem, the minimum pressure is not being built on cranking.
