On my 307 we have had a weird problem since Monday, you stop the car and take the key out but the engine keeps running, the tone changes slightly like any fans have stopped, not too sure as haven't had any daylight to check this in yet.
Put Peugeot Planet on last night and it gives me: Permanent Fault. Brake Contact Signal. Coherence between the 2 brake signals. That is listed twice. Now for the really strange part, my girlfriend found a way to make the engine stop.... Turn engine off, take out key, engine is still running Dip the clutch and engage reverse, as soon as reverse engages the engine cuts off! I'm a little stuck at the moment! |

Might be worth throwing a brakelight switch in it, but-
dirty ground connections at the rear lights, or a faulty bulb. Either way, it's likely seeing a voltage at the switched side of the stoplight switch even tho the other pair of terminals show as "off". Just enough of a supply that the ECU then holds itself on. Seen it on VW diesels too... |
