The drivers window on our 307 has developed a strange behavior.
When you pull the switch up to either the first or second notch, the window runs all the way up to the closed position, pauses, and then runs back down about 4 inches. No problem with opening it, and the window can be closed by bringing it up in small increments on the first switch notch. There are no unusual noises, and the window moves smoothly. Does anyone know what is causing this, and how do I fix it?

Two causes,
The switch or the anti pinch device built into the regulator. I would suggest switch first as its the cheaper option.

put some lube on the inner side of the runners. does the glass have any play in it if you try to slide it back and forth? does it look like it gets a bit wedged when you try to pull it up?
