DPF Removal for £299

Found a place in Birmingham fairly local who are offering to remove the DPF and CAT from my car, replace with a straight through pipe and disable all traces of the DPF from my ECU stopping it from regenerating in the future for £299 with a lifetime warranty.

I can't find anywhere that can replace the DPF and top up the fluid for this money so looking at getting the removal done. Has anyone had this done and it caused problems?

Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

I get 'Unblock Diesel Filter' several times a day and the DPF tank is empty!

Does this include a power remap or economy remap?

Putting a straight pipe in will make noticeable to everyone , not better getting yours gutted and replaced , or if they are taking yours off do you get to keep it so you can wash it out and sell it on ?

3 things to watch for:

do they write the map or buy them, if they write them they should know what they are talking about

some dodgy firms now disable the fault logging system on your car so you'd not know if job done correctly

car MUST BE FAULT FREE BEFORE DPF OFF AND REMAP

What do you mean fault free?

They offer a lifetime gaurantee so would assume they know what they are doing?

Looks like they use 'EvolutionChips technology' for ECU bit.

too many people are getting dpf off only when they have a fault but if system is faulty or max aborted regens, dpf off will cause problems.

Ok, so what am I meant to do? I need it fixing along with a flywheel and clutch at some point but everyone else to fix the DPF want over £500 to replace, fill the additive tank and reset the S/W.
