About 6 weeks ago I had my turbo reconditioned, a new repeat sensor fitted, a new EGR fitted. The car has been going like a rocket since. I have had intermittent starting problems for the past 3 weeks which feels like knackered glow plugs (slow to start cold, smoky and rough starting), and have new ones here to fit. I started the car this morning and noticed no turbo. I took it to a friend who has a diagnostic reader and I am getting P2562(again) and P0299 no boost code. While driving tonight I got the Anti-Pollution Fault light on. I know it works off the turbo/egr cycle. Would a leaking vacuum pipe be causing this problem? I can feel the turbo trying to boost but just not being able to do it.

Sorry to hijack your thread, where are the glowplugs at on this engine. Having the same starting problems as you describe here.

From what I can see in my workshop manual they appear to be on the back of the engine- it says the egr valve has to come off to get to them. Not looking forward to doing it.

Thanks for all the help. The anti pollution fault has now gone. Cmax ran the car through pp2000, all turbo readings fine, no faults appearing in the vacuum or anywhere. What we did find was a fault showing on the Ecu regarding a permanent fault on the fuel rail pressure sensor. I am assuming this might explain why I am not getting any turbo? Lack of fuel pressure affecting the boost?

What was wrong with it? As regards no boost. I'll near guarantee its a problem with the turbo control solenoid that causing your ''no boost''.

turbo repeat sensor was the fault also the turbo had some fins missing after the new turbo was replaced the car was 100% again till the car started to lose turbo again i changed the turbo valve with a working one and the car was still the same it also came up fuel pressure low as well

I have that valve here for you. I reconnected the original before I traded it in. Give me a shout sometime and I will get it back to you. That car officially broke my heart- loved it but so glad to see the back of it.
