Question 307 Auto Gearbox Problems
Any advice pls. I have a 2006 307 2.0L Tiptronic. When the car is cold i get a thump from the transmission and the transmission fault light comes on together with a speed control fault. The gearbox seems to be frozen in top gear after that. If i switch of and strat up again it clears the fault. It is getting worse though happens every morning now.

Get a diagnostic check done on the gearbox ecu. Is it leaking from the driveshaft oil seals?

Cant see anything on the driveway, I'll take a closer look. It struck me it could be low ATF as it happens when the the fluid is cold, it expands when it heats if I'm not mistaken

Its not ATF thats in that box. Its TOTAL FLUIDE XLD FE.

Thats nearly 19 thousand Rands. Good job I took an insurance policy out for mechanical problems.
