starting problem

hi, im new here and need help with my puegeot
recently i had to change the ignition barrel on my 306 (w reg) and at the same time i had to change my starte motor as that burned out completely

now though my car refuses to start, i drove it yesterda and it worked fine but now it wont start, looked at the lights on the dash board and it seems like the battery light flashes, could it be a dead battery?

any help is appreciated thanks
