hey guys, i have a 306 style, 1997/98. the problem i have is that when i turn my fans and my heaters on i get a real weird burny smell coming from them, was wondering if anyone knew what this problem was or if they had the same issue, it smells kind of like a real dry curry powder mixed with burning plastic.

also would like to know the most effective ways to make my car faster as she is a slug

First thought, of course, is that there is trouble with the wiring or the motor - this should be sorted out as soon as possible unless you wear asbestos socks.

The smell may also be a slight leak in the matrix or feeder pipes. If this is so, the smell could be caused by someone having put Radweld in the cooling system to stop the leak. Check this by having a sniff at the cooling water when it's warm (not hot).
